Recently, we woke up to a morning where there was no access to Instagram. While there was no sound in the intervening days, all eyes were on the court’s decision. Because BTK was expected to issue a court decision to continue this sanction within 48 hours after blocking access to Instagram from Turkey. BTK sources had previously stated that there were preparations for this court decision.
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu In his statement regarding the access barrier, he said, “If they comply with the law, access will be opened and the obstacle will be lifted. We warned them, but there was no response.” he said. However, as expected, no court decision was made within 48 hours, although Instagram remained inaccessible.
Abdulkadir Uraloğlu met with Instagram officials the other day.
After the meeting, Meta said, “Due to the blocking of access to Instagram in Turkey, millions of people are deprived of a method of daily communication, while businesses cannot reach their customers. We will continue to do our best to make our services available again.” He was alleged to have made a statement as follows.
However, no positive results were obtained from the meeting and Instagram remained closed.
Yesterday, Abdulkadir Uraloğlu said, “Two meetings were held with Instagram officials, we conveyed our sensitivities. Serious progress has been made, the obstacle will be removed when the requirements are met.”
After this entire process, Instagram was reopened. When we make inquiries through BTK’s website, we see that there are no obstacles.
It is currently possible to access Instagram without solutions such as VPN and DNS setting.
