The Chinese government has taken important steps in data security and digital sovereignty by supporting domestic applications such as WeChat. Additionally, they store users’ personal data on local servers instead of foreign servers. The domestic messaging application to be developed by Turkey may undertake a similar mission.

Turkey’s development of its own WeChat could make a significant contribution to data security. According to information obtained, local messaging applications will be developed by Turkish engineers and will minimize users’ security concerns.
