Apple managed to maintain its leadership in the market with a total of 12.6 million tablet sales. Although the company’s annual growth rate is limited to 1.4 percent, it is stated that Apple maintains its place at the top thanks to its wide product range and high customer loyalty. Apple, which makes its presence felt in the market with its iPad product family, continues to maintain its difference from other brands.
Samsung ranks second. The South Korean technology giant achieved sales of 7.1 million units in the third quarter of 2024 and recorded an annual growth of 18.3 percent. Experts state that this success is especially due to the intense interest of the Galaxy Tab A9 series. Samsung’s affordable and diverse feature-packed Galaxy Tab A9 models appealed to a wide range of users and contributed positively to sales figures.
Amazon, on the other hand, has achieved remarkable success in tablet sales. The company achieved an extraordinary annual growth rate of 111.3 percent by selling 4.6 million tablets and ranked third. It is stated that this growth is supported by intense sales, especially during discount periods such as Amazon Prime Day. Amazon’s affordable Fire tablet models gained significant momentum by reaching wider audiences thanks to Prime Day campaigns.
Huawei also demonstrated a successful performance during this period. The company sold 3.3 million tablets in the third quarter, achieving annual growth of 44.1 percent. It is stated that this rise in Huawei’s tablet sales is due to the continuing strong demand, especially in the Asian and European markets, and the interest in the brand’s models that attract attention with their user-friendly features.
Lenovo, which ranked fifth, managed to increase its market share with 3 million tablet sales and an annual growth of 14.7 percent. While Lenovo draws attention with its affordable and education-oriented models, it continues to develop strategies to increase its influence, especially in emerging markets.
Growth expectations for the global tablet market continue
Although the global tablet market is dominated by big brands, it continues to grow thanks to brands that stand out with innovative and budget-friendly products in different segments. Especially special days such as back-to-school periods, discount seasons and online shopping events make significant contributions to tablet sales.
