Google announced that it is offering Vids, its artificial intelligence-supported video creation tool, which we have previously detailed, to a wide range of Workspace subscribers. First available limited to the Gemini AI model, Google Vids is now rolling out to more Workspace plans. This tool simplifies the process of creating business and marketing videos based on Google Drive files and user descriptions.
Google Vids allows users to start by creating a video draft with a blank canvas or a ready-made template. The “Help me create” feature prepares a storyboard based on the information provided by the user. Using Gemini AI technology, this feature speeds up the video preparation process by recommending scenes, media content, texts, scenarios and background music.
Google Vids includes a virtual studio that allows users to upload their own photos and videos, add voice recordings, or create their own audio narration. Additionally, it offers a variety of customization options such as animations, transition effects, photo effects and royalty-free media content. Vids is open to teamwork and allows working on the same project simultaneously.
While Vids’ core features provide multilingual support, advanced artificial intelligence features such as “Help me create” and teleprompter are currently only available in English. Google announced that these features will be expanded with support for more languages. Also, Google Full access to AI-powered features will be valid until December 31, 2025then stated that some usage limits may be implemented as of 2026.
Google Vids, Business Standard, Business Plus, Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Plus as well as various business plans such as Education Plus It has also been activated by default for its subscribers. This large-scale outreach process, which started on November 7, is expected to continue for the coming weeks.
