The BYD sports car, developed as a rival to the Porsche 911, attracted great attention in China. The vehicle was last seen being tested on the roads. The electric two-door coupe model is expected to be launched with BYD’s premium brand Denza, which will enter the European market next year.
What will the BYD sports car offer?
The prototype disguised with blue camouflage; It draws attention with its low body, sharply inclined hood and roof line. Although the details are under wraps, the front design looks in line with Denza’s existing design aesthetic. Exposed high voltage cables also confirm that the vehicle is fully electric.
According to Chinese sources, this model will be the mass production version of the Fang Cheng Bao Super 9 concept introduced by BYD earlier in the year. Led by Wolfgang Egger, former designer of Lamborghini and Audi, the vehicle is expected to feature a powerful 710 kW (952 hp) triple-motor setup from the Denza Z9.
BYD took full control of Denza from its joint venture with Mercedes-Benz; The brand is preparing to launch the brand in Europe in 2025 with the Z9 GT model. The new sports car is likely to join the European range soon.
The interior design, which can be seen in the photos, reveals that it will have a sporty double seat. This shows that a four-seat configuration like the 911 is unlikely.
BYD continues its existence in our country with the ATTO 3 SUV model. It has an impressive performance in acceleration with its 150 kW (204 PS) engine power and 310 Nm torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.3 seconds. According to WLTP measurements, it offers a range of 420 km.
