Samsung is preparing to introduce the new Galaxy S25 series at the Galaxy Unpacked event to be held on January 22, 2025. At this event, the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy S25 Slim models were expected to be announced. However, according to a new rumor originating from China, the release of the S25 Slim model has been postponed to May.
S25 Slim will have a remarkable design with a thickness of only 6.5 mm. It is stated that the device will come with an AMOLED screen that is 6.6 inches in size, exceeds 1080p resolution and has a 120 Hz refresh rate. These features promise to offer users a high-quality visual experience.
Despite its thin structure, the Galaxy S25 Slim is expected to be ambitious in terms of hardware. It is claimed that the device will be equipped with Qualcomm’s newest and most powerful processor, Snapdragon 8 Elite, and will have 12 GB of RAM. This combination aims to deliver high performance and a smooth user experience.
On the camera side, it is claimed that the Galaxy S25 Slim will come with a triple rear camera setup including a 200 MP main sensor, 50 MP ultra wide-angle camera and 50 MP telephoto lens. In this way, it is stated that users can take high-resolution and detailed photos.
Despite the slim design of the device, it is stated that it will have a battery with a capacity of approximately 5000 mAh and that this battery will offer a lighter and higher capacity structure using silicon-carbon technology. This feature aims to meet users’ long-term use needs.
It is estimated that the device will be available for sale at a starting price of approximately $850. However, it should be noted that this price may change since no official statement has been made.
Galaxy S25 Slim will compete with iPhone 17 Air
It is stated that Samsung aims to compete with the Galaxy S25 Slim model, especially with Apple’s iPhone 17 Air model, which is expected to be introduced in the fall. For more information about this phone, which is expected to attract attention with its thin case, we need to wait for the Galaxy Unpacked event on January 22.
