Efendi Association; Participate in Sacrifice, Zakat and Water Well Donations to Change Lives

Efendi Association lends a helping hand to those in need through sacrifice and zakat donations, which are among the basic worships of Islam, and water well projects. These activities both lead to the fulfillment of religious obligations and strengthen social solidarity.

Sacrifice Donation

Sacrifice is considered an important way to get closer to Allah and gain His consent in Islam. With the slogan “Share Your Sacrifice, Get Closer to Allah”, Efendi Association has been delivering the trusts of donors to those in need in 3 continents and 15 countries since 2017. The association, which works especially for regions struggling with poverty and drought in Africa, delivers your sacrifice donations to orphanages, madrasahs and those in need in the region. The cost of sacrifice donation in Africa for 2025 has been determined as 1,750 TL. Videos of the sacrificed animals are sent to donors before the end of the holiday.

In addition, voluntary sacrifices such as votive sacrifice, akika sacrifice, gratitude sacrifice and healing sacrifice are also slaughtered at all times of the year.

Zakat Donation

Zakat is one of the five basic pillars of Islam and orders financially wealthy Muslims to give a certain portion of their wealth to those in need. Efendi Association meets the needs of hundreds of students with its madrasas providing Islamic education and memorization training in Şanlıurfa. The collected zakat is delivered to students who are legally eligible to receive zakat. As stated in the 60th verse of Surah At-Tawbah, it is commanded to give zakat to the poor, the needy and those on the path of Allah. In this context, madrasah students are also among the people who can be given zakat donations.

Water Well Projects

Millions of people around the world experience serious difficulties in accessing clean water. Especially in Africa and Asia, there are people who have to travel an average of 2 kilometers a day to reach water. By opening hundreds of water wells in these regions where drought and drought are at extreme levels, Efendi Association provides a source of life for both the people of the region and the animals. Care is taken to ensure that all drilled wells are suitable for regional conditions and long-lasting. Donors are informed about the process by taking images of the construction phases of the wells, for which they bear all expenses, via their mobile phones.
