Atlas, One of the World’s Most Famous Robots, Has Retired: Who Will Replace Him?

Atlas, the humanoid robot that can run and even do backflips, has been retired after 11 years.

Boston Dynamics, the manufacturer of the robot, published a video showing the prominent features of the robot. “Now it’s time to sit back and relax with our hydraulic Atlas robot.” He included his statements. Various of Atlas’ moves and videos had gone viral over the years.

Recently, the company introduced the model that will replace the hydraulic Atlas, an all-electric model that it said will be “more powerful and have a wider range of motion.” Robot expert Dr. Ingo Keller “Increasingly human-like abilities help push the boundaries of what robots can do.” told.

The company even released a new video showing Atlas’ replacement robot bending its limbs in more complex ways than its predecessor could achieve.

The first version of Atlas was produced in 2013 as part of a robotics competition for the US military. In fact, this version was normally designed to assist in search and rescue missions after disasters. Atlas was described at the time as “one of the most advanced humanoid robots ever built.”
