The Google Messages application makes quality image sharing, end-to-end encryption, read receipts, writing emoticons and features available in many messaging applications more useful for users.
Now, Google Messages has introduced a message editing feature that gives beta users 15 minutes to edit a previously sent message.
How to Use the Message Editing Feature?
First of all, for the message editing feature to be active, the person you send the message to must also be using the beta version of Google Messages. Additionally, the edit history of the message can be viewed and each message can be edited multiple times.
To check whether you are a Google Messages beta member, you need to make sure that your phone is running the My Pixel 6 Pro beta version by checking the version in the message settings.

If you have this feature and the recipient also has the beta version, follow these steps to edit the message:
- Open the toolbar by long-pressing on the message you want to edit.
- When you tap the pencil icon, “Edit Message” will appear.
- After editing the message, press Send again.
What Are the Most Secure Messaging Apps?
If you care about online security, you may be wondering what the safest messaging apps are.
Currently, Google’s message editing feature is only in beta version. However, it is expected to be active for all Google Messages users soon.
