YouTubeis one of the great ways to watch shows and your favorite videos on your big screen by pausing and resuming whenever you want from the comfort of your home, but watching videos on TV also has some disadvantages compared to watching on mobile devices. One of these disadvantages disappears with the new update.
The most watched parts of a content you will watch in YouTube’s application on mobile platforms can be shown to the user as salient points, but unlike mobile devices, since a TV does not have a touch interface, all controls must be carried out from the remote control. This has caused a similar feature to not be included in the YouTube TV application until now.

YouTube CEO Neal Mohan announced that the YouTube app on TVs will now automatically create highlights from a video and users can easily access them in any video. In this way, the best parts of a video can be easily browsed without trying to find the right moment with the TV remote.
While watching videos via the YouTube application on your TV, you can see the white marks added after the new update by pulling up the video progress bar. These marks are automatically generated key moments in videos. You will be able to switch between these important moments with the right and left arrow keys of the TV remote.
Content creators who publish videos on YouTube will also be able to manually add these important moments to their videos. If this new feature does not appear in the YouTube application on your TV, make sure to update your application.
