Accessing your Android phone on Windows 11 is now much easier!

Microsoft, Android It makes accessing your phones via Windows 11 easier every day. This integration process, which started with the Your Phone application, continued with features such as receiving phone notifications to your computer, screen mirroring and file sharing. Now, Microsoft comes up with a new feature that will allow you to manage Android phones via File Explorer.

Android-File Explorer testing for Windows 11 has started

According to the announcement made on the Windows Insider Blog, all Insider versions have gained access to Android File Explorer testing. Whether you’re a new Canary user or a secure Preview user, you can start using this feature starting today.

Before using this new feature, Microsoft lists the following requirements to access the Android file system via File Explorer in Windows 11:

• Your Android phone has at least Android 11 or higher.
• You have the BETA version of the Link to Windows application (version 1.24071 and above) installed on your Android phone.
• You must be enrolled in the Windows Insider Program, your computer is running Windows 11, and you are included in any Insider Channel.

If you meet these conditions, you should go to “Settings > Bluetooth and devices > Mobile Devices”, select the “Manage Devices” option and give your computer access to your phone. From here, you should see a toggle button called “Access in File Explorer.” If you don’t see it, the Windows 11-Android File Explorer feature may not have arrived yet. So you will have to wait for a while.
