The first level-4 electric autonomous bus in the USA is put into service
Pointing out that Adastec has found an R&D Center in the Informatics Valley in Turkey and in Boğaziçi University BÜDOTEK Technopark, Kacır expressed Adastec’s success with the following words: “Integrated with the technologies developed by ADASTEC, which was founded by Turkish engineers and supported by our Ministry, “Driverless buses are being implemented as the first project to use this technology in many countries of the world.” said.
ADASTEC, which has a Test Center in Informatics Valley in Turkey and an R&D Center in Boğaziçi University BÜDOTEK technopark, has introduced the first Level-4 autonomous bus in America.
ADASTEC, which implemented Europe’s first Level-4 autonomous/electric buses in Stavanger, Norway, and Tampere, Finland; It is preparing to implement the projects it has recently won in Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland in the coming days.
Level-4 autonomous vehicles appear as part of a rating system determined by the SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) standard, which defines the development levels of automatic driving systems.
This system ranges from level 0 to level 5, with each level indicating the degree of automation. Level-4 means high automation. Level 4 vehicles, which offer fully autonomous driving, can move on their own thanks to their special hardware and software. However, for safety purposes, the driver must intervene in some cases.
