Amazon Prime Türkiye hike: 49,90 TL

As of 2025, Amazon applied a new hike to the subscription fee of the prime service in Türkiye. Previously 39 TL per month fee, as of April 20, 2025 was increased to 49,90 TL. Thus, Amazon has increased the price price for the first time since the spring of 2023.

Amazon Prime was first put into service in Türkiye in September 2020. The subscription, which was presented at a very low price of only 7,90 TL at that time, rose to 39 TL with a hike in April 2023. With the new increase, a price difference of about 28 percent occurred. This increase will be valid for both available and new subscribers. Amazon did not announce any additional advantage or content presentation after this hike to the subscription fee.

Although the hike can be considered as a predictable step considering the existing economic conditions and exchange rate, it is estimated that some users can review their subscriptions in the face of this increase. Because with the current exchange rate, 49,90 TL corresponds to approximately $ 1,54. Although this figure is still low compared to global prices, it can be an important threshold in terms of user habits and purchasing power in the Turkish domestic market.
