Although Amazon Prime Video offers subscribers strong original content like Fallout, The Boys, and Rings of Power, it has been criticized for its confusing design. This is aimed to change with the new Prime Video design, which Amazon says brings “clarity and simplicity back to streaming.”
In Prime Video’s new design, users will be greeted by a fluid navigation bar. Here there are categories such as Home Screen, Movies, TV Programs, Sports and Live TV. It is worth noting that it is unlikely that all of these categories will be seen in Turkey.
The navigation bar continues with a dedicated tab for content that comes with a Prime membership. There are new episodes for add-on subscriptions like Max, Paramount+, Crunchyroll, and others. Sections for add-on subscriptions like ount+, Crunchyroll and others are coming. There’s a separate section for adding new subscriptions from Amazon’s 100+ options right from the bar.
Amazon also offers AI-generated personalized recommendations (“Personal for you”) as you browse through the Movies and TV Shows sections of the bar. Using the company’s Bedrock AI model, machine learning recommendations offer content recommendations based on viewing history and preferences.
Artificial intelligence will also provide summaries of new TV series and movies. Amazon says the change will make browsing through blurbs faster and prevent you from having to scroll around to learn more about specific content.
Distribution of the new Amazon Prime Video interface has begun
Finally, Amazon says the user interface has new animations, faster page transitions, and zoom effects to make the experience “smoother.” As users navigate the app on the big screen, video content automatically plays at the bottom of the screen. When you go to the Live TV tab, the recommended channels will also be played automatically.
The distribution of the new Amazon Prime Video interface has started on July 23.
