Ryzen AI 300 series tested
To recall, introduced at Computex 2024 Ryzen AI 300 series, Along with the TPU that offers 50 TOPS processing capacity, it brings the new Zen 5 CPU microarchitecture with two types of cores, the upgraded RDNA 3.5 graphics engine and the new XDNA 2 engine that enables running AI workloads natively. Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, on the other hand, can reach boost speeds of up to 5.1 GHz in the 15-54W range and has 12 cores (4 Zen 5 + 8 Zen 5C) and 24 threads with hybrid architecture.
For comparison, the processor’s closest rival, the Intel Core i9-14900HX, achieves scores of 3,029 and 17,919 in the 55W TDP range. Let us remind you that Ryzen 9 7940HX has scores of 2,751 and 16,094. Of course, it should not be forgotten that these are synthetic comparisons. Therefore, we have to wait a while longer to see what AMD offers.
