ANKA 3 and HÜRJET carried out a column flight

ANKA 3 and HÜRJET, developed by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ), continue to demonstrate their skills and interoperability. A new video shared on TAI’s X account also points to this and shows ANKA 3 and HÜRJET in arm flight.

According to TAI’s post, ANKA 3 completed its 8th sortie and HÜRJET completed its 66th sortie. It was stated that the arm flight of the two aircraft lasted 50 minutes. However, the flight was carried out at 165 knots (305 km/h) at an altitude of 7 thousand feet. For those who don’t know, ANKA-3 made its first flight on December 28, 2023. HÜRJET took off on April 25, 2023.

ANKA 3 and HÜRJET are very important for Türkiye

In the following period Controlling unmanned warplanes from manned aircraft is targeted. In this context, it is of great importance for HÜRJET to fly with ANKA 3.

ANKA-3 İHAIt stands out as a UAV system that is faster thanks to its jet engine and less visible on radar, with its tailless structure and high payload carrying capacity. ANKA-3, the new generation UAV system, provides reconnaissance, surveillance and intelligence; attack with different air-ground munitions; hunting for prey by engaging enemy helicopters, propeller planes and UAVs with air-to-air ammunition; neutralizing enemy RF emitting radar and air defense systems; protection of friendly forces in the air and on land; signals and communications intelligence; electronic warfare; It will have many mission capabilities such as operation and communication relay with other friendly elements.

Turkey’s first jet-powered supersonic aircraft HÜRJET It will replace the existing T-38 aircraft and F-5 aircraft. As it is known, T-38 aircraft are used within the scope of Jet Evolution training. F-5 aircraft are used in aerobatic shows. It is aimed to complete Hürjet’s certification and testing by the end of 2025 and to launch the jet trainer variant. However, HÜRJET also has the potential to be used in offensive activities.
