Apple approves UTM SE emulator application

By approving the UTM SE application, Apple offers the opportunity to run classic software and games on mobile devices. The app, which was rejected weeks ago and blocked from approval for third-party app stores in the European Union, is now available for free download on iOS, iPadOS and visionOS platforms.

Regarding UTM SE, which was rejected by Apple in June, its developer said that the application offered a “mediocre experience” and stated that it would not try again to apply. On Saturday, UTM thanked the AltStore team and thanked another developer who played a critical role with the QEMU TCTI implementation for this JIT-free (Just-In-Time compilation) build.

UTM SE is a PC emulator that allows users to run classic software and old-school games. But like other emulators, UTM SE can’t do much when first installed.
