Apple Became the Dominator of the 2023 Smartphone Market: Leaving Samsung Behind!

Apple’s dominance in the smartphone market is evident with the iPhone series ranking high on the list of the world’s 10 best-selling smartphones in 2023.

According to the Canalys report, the iPhone 14 Pro Max stood out as the best-selling model, while both the iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 series appeared in the top ten lists more than once.

Samsung’s Galaxy S23 Models Are Not Included in the List

iPhone 14 Pro Max, released in 2022, became the best-selling smartphone in 2023, selling a total of 34 million units. Despite being a previous-generation model, the iPhone 14 Pro Max’s popularity continues unabated, likely fueled by discounts following the launch of newer iPhone iterations.

iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro, which are right behind them, rank 3rd and 4th, respectively, with 29 million units each. Even the older model, the iPhone 13, manages to maintain a strong presence and ranks 5th with 23 million units sold.

Despite being released in September 2023, the iPhone 15 series is also an impressive performer. iPhone 15 Pro Max ranks 2nd with sales of 33 million units and is only one million units behind the record of its top rival. Additionally, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 rank 7th and 10th with sales of 21 million and 17 million units, respectively.

While other smartphone brands fail to rank high, Samsung continues to exist with three Galaxy phones. Galaxy A14 4G leads Samsung’s sales, ranking 6th with 21 million units sold. Following it closely, Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A14 5G rank 8th and 9th with sales of 20 million and 19 million units, respectively.

The absence of the Galaxy S23 series in the list indicates a possible change in consumer preferences, while the upcoming Galaxy S24 series is expected to change Samsung’s position in the sales rankings with advanced AI capabilities and other improvements.
