Apple Intelligence coming to iOS 18.1 in October

Apple’s new artificial intelligence technology, Apple Intelligence, will meet users in October with iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 updates. According to Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, betas of these updates will be available to developers this week, along with some artificial intelligence features.

It is stated that not all features of Apple Intelligence will be available initially. Additionally, since it will support US English, it will not be available for use in Turkey. Some features, especially artificial intelligence-supported Siri, are expected to be available later in the year. It is stated that some of these updates may extend to 2025. According to Apple’s statement, these new artificial intelligence updates will work on devices with A17 Pro processor or M-series chip. Of the current iPhone models, this only covers the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max. Therefore, older model devices will not be able to benefit from this new technology.

Apple Intelligence aims to provide users with a smarter and faster experience. Betas to be released for developers will provide the opportunity to pre-test the innovations that the new technology will bring. In this way, developers will be able to adapt their applications to Apple’s new artificial intelligence capabilities.

It is a matter of curiosity how Apple Intelligence will transform the user experience. The update aims to offer users a more personal and integrated digital assistant experience. The artificial intelligence-supported version of Siri will be equipped with more natural language processing capabilities and will provide faster and more accurate responses to users’ requests. However, it is stated that not all of these features will be available at the beginning and will be made available gradually.

This new artificial intelligence update from Apple will only be compatible with certain devices. Devices with A17 Pro or M-series chips will be able to benefit from all the features of Apple Intelligence. This means that older model device users will not be able to fully benefit from this new technology. Apple may be planning to expand the list of compatible devices in future updates, but for now only the newest models will support these features.
