Apple Intelligence may not arrive until iOS 18.1 update

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple plans to introduce Apple Intelligence with iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1, which it expects to be released in October. In other words, there is a slight delay for Apple Intelligence, which is normally expected to arrive with iOS 18 in September.

The beta of the two versions is expected to be released this week and opened to developers. This is actually interesting, because Apple normally doesn’t release previews of subsequent software updates until the first version is released.

Gurman reports that these updates may even extend into next year. It should be noted that when Apple Intelligence is released, it will not be compatible with every phone that can support iOS 18.
