Apple is working on a new smart doorbell by expanding its work in the field of smart home technologies. It is stated that the device will be equipped with the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth combination chip called “Proxima” developed by Apple, and this chip is expected to be used in the new HomePod Mini and Apple TV models in 2024.

This new product, which will compete with rivals such as Amazon Ring and Google Nest, attracts attention as a part of Apple’s vision in home technologies. However, it is thought that advanced facial recognition technology may bring potential risks such as security vulnerabilities and create controversy.
