This new product, which will compete with rivals such as Amazon Ring and Google Nest, attracts attention as a part of Apple’s vision in home technologies. However, it is thought that advanced facial recognition technology may bring potential risks such as security vulnerabilities and create controversy.

The smart doorbell aims to increase Apple’s competition in the smart home products market. The company is also reportedly working on products such as indoor security cameras, wall-mountable iPad-like smart displays, and an Apple-branded television.
