The electric car trend is increasing. However, a new brand and technology emerges every day. Electric trucks are also trying to become a trend. Some brands have started to make their first experiments in this regard. Here are the Renault Trucks E-Tech T 4×2 tractor model and its first use details…
Renault Trucks E-Tech T 4×2 tractor model started inter-factory parts transportation business!
Renault Trucks E-Tech T 4×2, weighing 44 tons (trailer + tractor + load), was launched recently. Although we cannot see it on Turkish roads for now, it has buyers on European roads. In addition, the brand has started a new test drive program to market its own product. Renault E-Tech T tractors took on the task of transporting parts between factories.
Electric Renault E-Tech T tractors will now bring the heavy-duty axles prepared for assembly to the Renault Trucks truck factory in Bourg-en-Bresse. In this regard, the company cooperated with Dupessey&Co and Transports Chazot companies to test electric trucks for 6 years. 5 tractors with a load carrying capacity of 22 tons were delivered to the companies.
These tractors will transport the axles produced and ready for assembly in the Lyon facilities to the Renault Trucks truck factory in Bourg-en-Bresse. Each truck is estimated to make 2 departures and 2 arrivals. This is a route approximately 360 kilometers long.
The trucks have a charging station specially installed at the Lyon facility for this operation. In order to carry out the targeted trips, the vehicles will need 45-50 minutes of charging here during the day. At the end of the evening work, the trucks will be charged in the garages of the mentioned transportation companies.
With this logistics integration, 375 tons of CO2 will be saved on an annual route of 450 thousand kilometers. So what do you think about this issue?
