Artificial intelligence has now started to detect car problems. The new system incorporated artificial intelligence to automate vehicle inspections by scanning customers’ cars and identifying potential defects in seconds.
Many US dealers, such as Findlay Cadillac, announced that they have successfully used this innovative technology by utilizing artificial intelligence in their first vehicle inspections.
Was the Artificial Intelligence Automated Vehicle Inspection System Successful?
Findlay Cadillac is taking an innovative step in the automotive industry by being one of the first dealers to implement UVEye’s automatic vehicle inspection system. Thanks to this system, the vehicle inspection process is automated, providing significant time savings for both dealers and customers. Used in more than 300 dealerships across the country, the UVEye system significantly increases efficiency and reduces wait times.
If we talk about the system, it passes through a large scanner that takes multiple photos of the vehicle from all angles, including the underside, in about 30-50 seconds. The recorded images pass through artificial intelligence software that detects defects in the exterior, tires and visible mechanical components, providing the customer with a detailed report about the vehicle.
The automatic vehicle inspection system saves time and money by detecting defects that may be overlooked, such as oil leaks, within seconds. As Daniel Frandsen from UVEye stated, thanks to this system, vehicle inspections, which normally take a long time and are laborious, can now be carried out much faster and easier.
