ASELSAN AESA radar flew with F-16 Özgür
Defense Industry President Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün made the following statements in his statement: “ASELSAN National AESA Aircraft Nose Radar, passing the generation to combat aircraft with its superior capabilities; making them the most intelligent, agile and powerful warriors of the skies. With AESA radar F-16 ÖZGÜR Platform reaches the level of 4.5 generation aircraft while moving, ANOTHER ve combat UAVs They will become platforms in the 5th generation and beyond with additional capabilities and low visibility features. I wholeheartedly congratulate our ASELSAN engineers who worked day and night for this high-level radar technology.“
ASELSAN AESA Radar; with simultaneous air-air and air-ground missions, multiple target detection/tracking, beyond-visual missile guidance, high-resolution ground imaging and electronic warfare functions. F-16 Özgür including platform CAAN, KIZILELMA, HÜRJET, ANKA III, AKINCI It will provide serious talent gains.
Produced entirely with domestic resources
The first flight of the ASELSAN National AESA Aircraft Nose Radar, developed for combat aircraft and UAVs, was carried out on February 15, 2024, with the F-16 ÖZGÜR Platform, whose mission computer was also nationalized. National AESA Aircraft Nose Radar will start its flights with AKINCI very soon. Flights will be carried out in 2024 after integration with other jet aircraft and other national UAVs.
As it is known within the scope of the F-16 ÖZGÜR project, F-16 Block 30 warplanes are modernized with domestic avionics and software. Available with these transactions F-16 Block 30s rise to similar level with F-16 Block 70s.
