ASUS Zenbook S16 stands out with its ultra-thin design and the latest AMD artificial intelligence chip

ASUS introduced a number of new laptops at the Computex technology fair in Taipei this week, including a refreshed model of its Zenbook series. While Zenbook S16 attracts attention with its elegant and stylish design, it comes with a number of innovations and several important updates.

This model is equipped with AMD’s Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor, which was announced just a few hours ago. This chipset boosts AI capabilities by delivering three times the performance of previous AMD laptop hardware with 50 TOPS of processing power. This also makes the Zenbook S16 suitable for Microsoft’s AI assistant Copilot+, showing that Qualcomm isn’t the only option in this space.

The laptop stands out for being extremely thin and light for 16-inch models; It is only 1.1 cm thick and weighs 1.36 kg. The cooling system has also been renewed, providing better cooling with the new upper ventilation and ultra-thin vapor chamber, which is a great advantage for users.

The Zenbook S16 continues to feature the same aluminum ceramic coating found on last year’s Zenbook 14X, but ASUS has renamed this coating to “Ceraluminum”. The 16-inch 3K OLED touch screen has a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz. While the 78Wh battery enables all-day use of the device, the six-speaker sound system signed by Harman Kardon takes music pleasure to the top. It also has Wi-Fi 7 support, up to 2TB SSD storage and up to 32GB RAM options.

ASUS Zenbook S16 is available for sale at a starting price of $1400 and is available for pre-order at Best Buy in white and gray color options.
