Audi, which has facelifted the Q8 and SQ8 in recent months, has now introduced the RS Q8 and Q8 Performance, the most muscular members of the family. The renewed RS Q8 Performance is Audi’s SUV model with the most powerful internal combustion engine ever.
Before going into details, let us also point out that the new RS Q8 Performance proved its claim on the famous Nurburgring track. The car completed its lap on the track in an impressive time of 7:36.698, thus breaking the lap record in its category.
What do Audi RS Q8 and Q8 Performance offer with their features?
The touring monster RS Q8 Performance gets 632 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque from the same engine. In this way, Audi reduced the 0-100 km/h time to 3.6 seconds and increased the top speed to 280 km/h. Reminding that this is the most powerful mass-produced internal combustion engine in the history of the brand, the German brand used a special exhaust system to remove the rust from our ears with this power.
The powerful engine in question is combined with an 8-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission and Quattro permanent four-wheel drive system in both models. The models in question also have a mechanical center differential and an adaptive suspension system that can change the ground clearance of the car up to 90 mm.
On the brake side, the RS Q8 model uses 420 mm front discs and 370 mm rear discs with 10-piston calipers. In Q8 Performance, the front discs increase to 440 mm and carbon ceramic discs are standard. The Performance version also has special 23-inch wheels that are lighter than the standard 22-inch wheels.
The price of the RS Q8, which goes on sale this month in Europe, starts from 141,900 euros, and the price of the RS Q8 Performance starts from 155,700 euros.
