Best selling car brands! [Ekim 2024]

In the last quarter of 2024, the best-selling automobile brands, preferred fuel types, and more in Turkey have been announced. As every month, the Automotive Distributors and Mobility Association (ODMD) published reports for October 2024. There appears to be a change in the list of the best-selling automobile brands in October 2024. Here are the best-selling cars.

Renault became the best-selling automobile brand

If we look at the data published for October, there was an 8.4 percent decrease in new car sales compared to last year, and a total of 75 thousand 662 cars were sold. In light commercial vehicles, sales increased by 15.2 percent to 21 thousand 612 units. There is a huge increase in demand for SUVs in Turkey, as in all countries.

SUVs still lead the list, with 56.2 percent market share. As for the brands in automobile sales in October, Renault ranks first with 9 thousand 710 automobile sales. Right behind it, Volkswagen ranks second with an 80 percent increase in sales to 7,732 units. Fiat, which experienced a 35 percent decrease last year, is in third place with sales of 5 thousand 979 units.

According to the most preferred fuel types, gasoline is at the top of the list with a 59 percent share in sales and 44 thousand 637 units. While there was a 17.8 percent decrease for gasoline compared to the previous year, sales for the hybrid type increased by 84.8 percent to 16 thousand 17 units. Electric vehicles have sales of 8 thousand 906 units with a market share of 11.8 percent.
