What Do We Know About Meizu’s First Car?

Meizu COO Liao Qinghong stated in his statement at the ChinaJoy 2024 fair that their first cars will offer unique features and performance. This model, which will be named Meizu DreamCar MX, will be based on Geely’s Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) platform. The first images point to a sedan similar in size to the Lynk & Co Z10.

Meizu began investing heavily in building its user base in the automobile industry. The company launched the DreamCar MX community, where fans can participate in design discussions and customization options. On this platform, users will be able to have a say in various areas, from color schemes to Flyme Auto themes.

The success of Meizu’s automotive venture will depend on how well it can differentiate itself in the competitive Chinese electric vehicle market and how much it can leverage Geely’s manufacturing capabilities. More details are expected to emerge as the launch date approaches.
