Today, our founder Hakkı Alkan met with Binance Turkey General Manager Mücahit Dönmez and received answers to important questions about both the situation of cryptocurrency exchanges in Turkey and Binance. Explaining the situation of the cryptocurrency exchange in Turkey at the first stage, Dönmez stated that the adaptation among investors increased from 16 percent to 40 percent. Stating that there was such an increase before the legal regulations, Dönmez said that this rate will increase in the coming days.

What are the thoughts and expectations about the Crypto Asset Law?

Binance Turkey General Manager, who has not yet made a clear comment about the Crypto Asset Law, which was passed by the parliament recently, stated that the real situation will be clear after the second regulation. Stating that the second regulation will come within six months, Mücahit Dönmez stated that the law should draw a general framework and not be restrictive. Stating that they have a positive opinion about the law, which they hope will pave the way for innovations, Dönmez stated that Binance Turkey’s daily transaction volume is around 200-250 million dollars.

Is there a trust issue in the industry?

In addition, Dönmez stated that there is still a trust problem in the sector and said that this situation is not only in Turkey but all over the world. Stating that innovations such as laws and licenses will create an environment of trust against crypto money, Dönmez said that unpleasant events will be prevented to a large extent.
