Last month, digital photography brand Blackmagic Design released the Blackmagic Camera app. AndroidIt launched in , but this app was limited to just a few Galaxy and Pixel phones. Now the company has announced that it is expanding the availability of its software to older devices.
Blackmagic Camera gives access to pro-level camera tools on Android devices
The announcement went almost unnoticed as it was made on social media rather than their official blog. According to their posts, Blackmagic Camera 1.1 version is now available for Samsung Galaxy S21, Galaxy S22the entire Pixel 6 series can be used on OnePlus 11 and OnePlus 12.
App for non-American users Xiaomi 13 and can also be used for Xiaomi 14. Blackmagic Camera offers advanced configuration options to help you set up the right shots, tools to help you control exposure, and support for a variety of video resolutions, among other things.
To have the app, your device must be running Android 13 or later.
Version 1.1 of the application brings many new features and adjustments to the software. These include an overall performance boost, optional image noise reduction, the ability to dim the screen while recording, and 3D LUT (Look Up Tables) support is included. (These are a collection of color presets that can be added to photos or videos to achieve a specific look.)
For example, LUTs can help correct colors in an image, enhance shadows, or add a sepia filter.
