Foldable screens have been on the agenda for a while and are seen as the future of technology. These have been showcased by various display panel manufacturers and smartphone brands for years, but until now there has been no commercial product featuring such a panel.
But that’s expected to change in early January, apparently coming to CES. According to Evan Blass (aka @evleaks), Lenovo will unveil the latest generation ThinkBook Plus at CES, and it comes with a foldable display as you can see in the leaked images below.
You can choose to use it as a ‘normal’ laptop with a 3:2 aspect ratio screen and no one will notice the magic of this computer.
When you want a little more screen space, pull the screen up and you’ll see that it’s taller.
Unfortunately we don’t know any of the specs of the display yet and there’s always the question of durability with first generation products like this, but this will still be great. At the same time, it is possible to predict that this product will be quite expensive.
