According to the statement made by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA), 568 thousand vehicles were exported in May. This means a 29 percent increase on an annual basis. Looking at the January-May period of 2024, we see that China exported 2.45 million vehicles, which is again reflected in the table as an annual increase of 26 percent.
The average price of automobiles exported by China in the first five months is equivalent to 19 thousand dollars. When looked at in dollar terms, we see that automotive exports, which reached 46.4 billion dollars in the said period, grew by 20.1 percent.
