Chinese BYD officially established a company in Turkey

By establishing a company, BYD took one of the most important steps towards investment in Türkiye. The Chinese manufacturer aims to complete its investment in Turkey in 2026. The company aims to become one of the top three brands in Turkey within three years with the production it will make here, and plans to increase its sales to 10 thousand units in a short time.

Rechargeable hybrid cars will be produced in the factory that BYD will establish in Manisa. An R&D Center will also be established in the said area. Seal U DM-i, which the brand currently sells in Turkey, is one of these models. It was stated that 5 thousand people will be employed in the factory, which is planned to start production in 2026, and the annual production capacity will initially be 150 thousand vehicles.

BYD Seal U DM-i model came to Turkey with a price of 2,090,000 TL. The price of the car has been uncertain for a while. The Chinese brand is waiting to receive its investment incentive certificate to announce the price of its SUV model. Prices will be announced in the second half of August.

BYD currently sells the Atto 3 and Seal U DM-i models. In the statement made in the past weeks, it was announced that a third model could be offered for sale before the end of the year, but it is not yet clear which model it will be.
