Cintoo, which offers 3D scanning solutions, received an investment of 37 million euros

Offering 3D scanning solutions based in France Cintoin Series B investment round 37 million euros received investment. Partech investment tour led by Amavi Capital ve Armilar Venture Partners participated. The initiative, which reveals the digital representation of physical objects, environments or events, uses technologies such as reality data, laser scanning, photogrammetry and LiDAR.

Cintoo will use this new investment to develop its SaaS platform by expanding its integration portfolio. The startup is planned to double its investments to provide cutting-edge applications for the construction and industrial sectors. Thus, Cintoo will develop the brand new industrial metaverse experience and automatic asset tagging capabilities. We can say that with this approach, the startup will accelerate its international growth in the USA and Europe.

Field of activity of the enterprise

Cintoo was founded in 2013 by Dominique Pouliquen, Leonardo H. Fonteles, Denis Thibaudin, Anis Meftah and Marc Antonini. The startup converts large 3D laser scan data into high-resolution 3D meshes that are 10 to 20 times smaller without sacrificing accuracy. While Cintoo reduces the size of the data, it does not compromise on resolution. Thus, providing faster loading, Cintoo also reduces storage needs.

With Cintoo’s SaaS platform, companies using real-world, mobile or drone scanners can manage their Reality Capture data efficiently. At the same time, companies can collaborate while sharing this data. Creating immersive industrial environments, Cintoo Metaverse combines real-world scans such as factories or power plants with 3D animations. TurboMesh Engine, a powerful browser with camera feature, offers a ‘teleport’ based rendering system.

The platform is used by more than 500 companies in more than 40 countries. Companies that prefer the platform mainly operate in the architecture, engineering, construction, energy and Industry 4.0 sectors.
