Selen Alkım, who serves as the General Manager of Citroën Turkey, was appointed as the Regional Director of Fiat, Citroën and Leapmotor brands in the Middle East and Africa Region (MEA), one of the 6 regions in total of Stellantis, one of the world’s largest automotive groups. Bora Duran, who serves as Citroën Turkey Sales Director, was appointed to the position of Citroën Turkey General Manager, which was vacated by Selen Alkım, who will start her new position as of February 1, 2025.
The Citroën brand, which has grown rapidly globally in recent years, attracts attention as it plays an important role in the Turkish market today. A new structuring of the brand in Turkey was carried out with the new year. Selen Alkım, who serves as the General Manager of Citroën Turkey, was appointed as the Regional Director of Fiat, Citroën and Leapmotor brands for the Middle East and Africa Region (MEA), one of the six regions of Stellantis. Alkım, who will start his new position as of February 1, 2025, will report to Gülin Reyhanoğlu, who is responsible for all Sales and Marketing Operations in the region. Selen Alkım completed her undergraduate education at Galatasaray University, Department of International Relations. After completing his master’s degree in Paris in 2005, he entered the automotive industry in 2006. He started his career as a Budget and Planning Specialist at Renault and continued as Product Manager and Strategic Planning Manager until 2015. Alkım, who transferred to Renault Mais as Marketing Coordinator in 2015, was transferred to Çelik Motor in 2017 and became the Marketing Manager of the KIA brand. Alkım, who moved to PSA Group in 2018 and became Citroën Marketing Director, has been serving as Citroën Türkiye General Manager since 2022.
New general manager for Citroën Turkey
Bora Duran, who previously served as Citroën Türkiye Sales Director, was appointed as Citroën Türkiye General Manager and will take over this duty from Selen Alkım. Duran, who completed his undergraduate education at Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Units, completed his master’s degree in Business Administration at the University of Gloucestershire in England. He worked in various positions at SEAT and Porsche between 2012 and 2019. Duran started his career as Sales Regional Manager at Citroën Turkey in 2019 and was appointed as Academy and Development Manager at Stellantis Turkey in 2021. In 2022, he became Customer Experience Director at Stellantis Turkey. He returned to the Citroën brand as Sales Director in 2023 and will assume the role of General Manager at Citroën Turkey as of February 1.
Citröen Türkiye is going through a radical change
In parallel with the appointment of Bora Duran as the General Manager of Citroën Turkey, instead of Selen Alkım, who was appointed to the MEA Region of Stellantis, one of the world’s leading automotive groups, new appointments were made in the sales and marketing directorates of the brand. Serdar Akman, who has been serving as Citroën Marketing Director since 2022, will start his new position as Citroën Sales Director as of February 1, 2025. Burcu Giray, who served as Opel Türkiye Product, Pricing and Campaign Manager, was appointed to the position of Citroën Marketing Director, which was vacated by Serdar Akman.
Serdar Akman, a graduate of Galatasaray High School and Istanbul University French Language and Literature Department, spent the last seven years before joining Stellantis, serving as manager of various departments, especially sales manager, at Honda Turkey. In the early stages of his career, Akman worked at Peugeot Turkey, which is now part of the Stellantis Group, and at Doğan Gazetecilik. Akman, who has approximately 25 years of experience in the automotive industry, became the Marketing Director of Citroën Turkey within Stellantis Türkiye in November 2022. Burcu Giray, who graduated from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Department of Sociology, worked in various managerial positions at Voden Leo Burnett between 2012 and 2019. Burcu Giray, who joined the Opel Türkiye family in 2019, served as Digital Marketing Supervisor until 2021 and as Marketing Communications Manager until 2023. Giray, who has worked as Opel Turkey Product, Pricing and Campaign Manager until today, will start his new position as Citroën Turkey Marketing Director as of February 1, 2025.
