One of Turkey’s important defense industry moves is domestic aviation engines. TEI, which has carried out important studies on this subject, produced Turkey’s first national turbodiesel aviation engine TEI-PD170 model. It completed its 100th flight with the local and national aviation engine Aksungur, which was in test flights. Here are the details…
TEI-PD170 completed its 100th flight! Here are the details
Turkey’s first national turbodiesel aviation engine, TEI-PD170, completed its 100th flight together with Aksungur UAV today. In the statement made by TEI, it was stated that the engine flew for a total of 520 hours with the 100th flight over Aksungur.
The engine, which has currently completed flight tests with the domestic and national UAV Aksungur, is expected to be integrated into different types of aviation products in the future. Regarding the issue, TEI shared the following on its official X (Twitter) account:
“Turkey’s first national turbodiesel aviation engine, TEI-PD170, continues to power AKSUNGUR! Our national engine TEI-PD170 successfully completed its 100th flight with AKSUNGUR and reached a total flight time of 520 hours with this platform! We will continue to work with all our strength to bring our national platforms together with the skies with our national engines!” statements were included.
