No more price increases: Regulation on real estate advertisements by the Ministry of Commerce!
The Ministry of Commerce made a statement about the real estate advertisement regulation that will come into force very soon. As you know, in recent years there have been extreme price increases due to advertisements in both the real estate and automobile sectors. The authorities, who brought relevant regulations to the automobile sector, are now also introducing some rules to the real estate sector. Businesses that do not have an authorization certificate will no longer be able to open real estate listings.
The Electronic Listing Verification System (EIDS) introduced by the Ministry of Commerce is now also valid in the real estate sector. In line with the law that will come into force on September 15, people who do not have an authorization certificate will no longer be able to advertise real estate for sale or rent.
EİDS, which will request an authorization certificate from businesses to post an advertisement, will also indicate that the seller has an authorization certificate when looking at the advertisement. In this way, while not everyone can enter a real estate ad, it will be reflected to the buyers that people in the real estate sector also have authorization certificates.
This regulation, which will come into force on September 15, will allow advertisements to individuals who do not have an authorization certificate until December 31, 2024. However, as of 2025, only businesses with an authorization certificate will be able to post advertisements. Daily rental real estate and real estate without title deed (housing projects for which floor easement has not yet been established, TOKİ projects, properties that qualify as slums, etc.) will be excluded from this obligation.
