Karsan is also accelerating the transformation in Istanbul with its electric vehicles. The 100 percent electric e-ATAK model, which previously started to serve in Antalya and Bursa, has now joined the fleet of Güngören Municipality. Three e-ATAK buses produced in Bursa Hasanağa will be used for social transfers in the district.
Within the scope of Güngören Municipality’s “Easy Transportation Project”, citizens will be able to travel between cultural stops with environmentally friendly e-ATAK buses. These buses, which will serve points such as Hanımeli Mansion, cultural centers and sports facilities, offer an environmentally friendly transportation opportunity with their 100 percent electric structure.
In his statements about this important project, Karsan Deputy General Manager of Commercial Affairs Muzaffer Arpacıoğlu stated that they are proud to increase the usage area of electric vehicles in Turkey. He stated that the vehicles, which previously served successfully in Antalya and Bursa, will make life easier in a district of Istanbul with high traffic density. With this project, the number of electric vehicle fleets in Turkey reached 67, strengthening Karsan’s leadership.
Karsan is the first and only brand in Europe that offers a wide product range from 6 meters to 18 meters. The e-ATAK model became the segment leader in Europe for four consecutive years after its introduction in 2019. The company, which has served more than 1,300 electric vehicles spread across 23 countries to date, continues its success in the global market in Turkey.
Standing out with its technical features, Karsan e-ATAK is the leader of its class with its 300 kilometer range and 220 kWh capacity BMW batteries. Offering high performance with its 8.3-meter length and 230 kW electric engine, the vehicle can reach full charge in 5 hours with alternating current charging units and in 3 hours with fast charging units.
