Electric cars make less malfunction!

Europe’s largest automobile organization Adac, 2024 by examining the 3.6 million fault records by examining the report prepared by electric vehicles compared to internal combustion motor vehicles showed less malfunction.

As a result of the detailed analysis of the failures intervened by Adac personnel throughout the year, the fault rate per 1,000 vehicles in internal combustion vehicles was recorded as 9.4. In electric vehicles evaluated with the same criterion, this rate was calculated as 3.8.

Based on the four -year -old vehicles, the fault rate in electric cars was 8.5, while the ratio increased to 12.9. These data show that electric vehicles have failed one -third of less than internal combustion models in the same age group.

The most common problem in both types of vehicles was 12 -volt auxiliary battery faults. 50 percent of the faults in electric vehicles concentrated in this part, while the ratio of internal combustion engines was determined as 45 percent.

In the case of tire -based road, electric vehicles look more disadvantageous with a slight difference. For this reason, 1.000 electric vehicles remained on the road, while the ratio of internal combustion vehicles was measured as 0.9.

Tesla Model 3 came to the fore among the most faulty models in the research. This vehicle from the 2023 model year has only settled at the top of the list with only 0.5 breakdown rate. He followed VW ID.3 with a fault ratio of 0.7. Tesla Model Y was similar to its 0.9 ratio.

Structural differences lies behind the less failure of electric vehicles. These vehicles; It contains fewer parts because it does not have internal combustion systems such as engine oil, exhaust system and clutch. In addition, thanks to the simpler transmission system, they cause less mechanical problems.
