The study, which includes data from 20 thousand EV stations in the USA, was published today. In the study carried out by ChargerHelp, four years of data from 20 thousand stations were collected. According to the data, it was revealed that the operating status of 26 percent of the stations could not be stated correctly. It was also revealed that the actual uptime reported by network providers was 73.7 percent, not 84.6 percent.

These data bring us the following conclusions. Even though a station we look at on the internet appears to be online, it turns out to be offline 26 percent of the time. Additionally, the operating time of the stations is approximately 27 percent lower. But the problems do not end there.

When the EV stations that were the subject of the research were examined, it was also reported that the charging stations would not last very long. Because electric vehicles approaching the station can crush the cables. The cable end gets damaged during connection. Station screens break and damage occurs in the station cabin. If you add to all this the extended connection times due to the internet and the system, the charging queue at the station, and incorrect parking between two stations, you can understand why the sales of electric cars in Europe have fallen so much.

For now, electric vehicles cannot attract the desired attention due to charging and range problems.
