CEO Nadella talked about several records broken by Black Ops 6, which was released last week. The game reached a new peak in the number of players on the first day, surpassing all Call of Duty games. Of course, being added to Game Pass has a big impact here. It also became the game with the most subscriptions on Game Pass, breaking Starfield’s record.
The numbers show that Black Ops 6 is a big boost for Microsoft’s gaming business. Even though sales of Xbox and other accessories have been declining, revenues from gaming content and services have increased. Accordingly, with the contribution of the Activision-Blizzard acquisition, service revenues increased by 61 percent compared to last year.
Developer Treyarch supported CEO Nadella’s comments and stated that Black Ops 6 reached the highest number of players, hours played and matches among all Call of Duty games in its first three-day performance. The number of PC players also broke a new record. PlayStation and SteamIt was reported that sales in Turkey increased by 60 percent compared to last year.
