Innovation 2024 event postponed to next year
For those who missed it, the Intel Innovation event has been held every year since Pat Gelsinger took over. At this year’s Innovation 2024 event, Core Ultra “Arrow Lake” processors were expected to be introduced and new technologies to be exhibited. But apparently that won’t happen. According to Intel’s new announcement, the event has been officially postponed to 2025, and a launch date has not yet been shared for the Arrow Lake series.
After careful consideration, we have decided to postpone our Intel Innovation September event, hosted by Intel, until 2025. Throughout the remainder of 2024, we will continue to host smaller, more targeted events, webinars, hackathons, and meetups around the world through the Intel Connection and Intel AI Summit events, and will be present at other industry moments.
According to estimates, the company’s recently announced $10 billion savings plan is behind this postponement decision. Even the CPU giant, in this process will reduce its workforce by more than 15 percent ve more than 15 thousand He announced that he would part ways with his employee. The main reason for this is the $1.6 billion loss. The company announced a loss of $437 million in the same period last year.
Let us remind you that this negative scenario is not the first for Intel. The company had previously made major layoffs in October 2022 and announced that it would cut costs between $8 and $10 billion every year until 2025. However, it did not shrink much as a result. While the number of employees decreased by approximately 5% in 2023 (from 131,900 employees to 124,800 employees), Intel’s financial records show that it returned to 130,700 employees as of March 30, 2024.
