Speaking about Fast and Furious 11, which has been in the preparation phase for a while, director Louis Leterrier shared important details about both the release date and shooting date of the film. Announcing that they will start shooting the new movie in September, Leterrier said that the movie will be released in 2026. However, in the previous statement, it was announced that the film will be released on April 4, 2025. Leterrier did not share any details about why this one-year delay occurred.
Although Louis Letterrier did not provide any details beyond saying that the film will be released in 2026, we can assume that Fast and Furious 11 will be released in the summer of 2026. Because big-budget blockbuster movies like Fast and Furious are released in the summer months, when cinemas are at their busiest. As a matter of fact, the previous films of the series were always released in the summer months.
On the other hand, Leterrier also confirmed that they will end the series with the 11th movie. If you remember, Vin Diesel, in his statements before the release of the 10th movie, left the door open for the series to continue beyond the 11th movie. However, after Fast X was disappointing, this possibility seems to have disappeared. Vin Diesel and his companions will come together one last time to make a grand finale with one last movie. This grand finale will return the series to where it started: the streets of Los Angeles.
