What are Trump’s plans?

• Energy Emergency declaration: Trump will make increasing US fossil fuel production a priority of his administration. That means US crude oil production, which has already reached an all-time high, will be increased even further.
• Cancellation of electric vehicle regulation: The EPA’s mandate requiring 30% to 56% of light vehicles to be electric by 2032 will be repealed.
• Oil and gas exploration in Alaska: Oil and gas drilling sites in Alaska that were restricted by the Biden administration will reopen.
• Reducing regulations: Trump will issue new orders to remove regulations that he argues hinder economic growth.

Trump will also sign an “anti-inflation” memorandum to lower consumer prices. However, the new administration plans to develop an approach involving all government units to reduce price increases.
