Samsung is expected to announce the entry-level Galaxy A16 in 4G and 5G versions in December, and detailed specifications for both have now been revealed.
As their names suggest, the Galaxy A16 4G and A16 5G are almost the same phone, the biggest difference between them being their chipsets. In Europe, the source of the leak, the A16 5G will be powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 1330 processor. Past leaks suggest that the A16 5G will come with MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 in other regions such as Southeast Asia.
On the other hand, the A15 4G will come with MediaTek’s old Helio G99 processor, like its predecessor.
The remaining features of both Galaxy A16 models are the same.
They will come with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display (FHD + 90Hz), 50 MP main camera, 5 MP ultra-wide and 2 MP macro cameras and a 5,000 mAh battery with 25 W charging. Both phones will have 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage and support memory card upgrade via microSD.
Samsung is also expected to deliver Android updates and security patches for up to 6 years. The price of the Galaxy A16 4G is around €210, while the price of the Galaxy A16 5G will start from €240 in Europe.
