We are getting closer and closer to the official launch of the new Galaxy S25 series, the next generation smartphones of Samsung’s main product line. Although Samsung hides the details about its new devices as much as possible, many new details about the models emerge. But unfortunately, the company expects the upcoming smartphone to sell marginally more than the current generation.
However, the next foldable device, Galaxy Z Flip 7, expected to arrive next year, may unfortunately leave the company behind in sales. It is said that Samsung does not expect its new phone to significantly increase sales at launch.
Considering there’s a decline in the foldable market at the moment, it doesn’t seem surprising that Samsung could produce fewer units of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 compared to the Z Flip 6 released this year.
According to rumors from people in the company’s supply chain, the manufacturer should focus on producing a total of 4.2 million Galaxy Z Flip 7s. Compared to the production of the current model, the reduction target in production attracts attention.
On the other hand, Samsung is expected to produce 37.4 million units of the Galaxy S25 series, 14.8 million units of S25, 6.6 million units of S25 Plus and 16 million units of S25 Ultra, compared to the company’s flagships.
It is not yet clear whether Samsung is considering putting the brakes on the sale of foldable smartphones. However, the first estimates make it clear that the expected new models will not attract “extraordinary” interest in the market.
So what do you think about this?
