Google last year Android Gemini did not support the routine launch feature of Google Assistant. Fortunately, Google has released an important update to fix this shortcoming. Now Gemini users will be able to easily launch Google Assistant routines.
The company allows users to start Assistant routines with a new update for Gemini. The innovation was also confirmed on Google’s Gemini support page. In the statement, it is stated that Gemini can now start routines using Google Assistant. Currently, voice commands can be used to start these routines or they can be managed through the Google Home app.
However, some routine launchers and actions are not yet supported by Gemini. For example, starting a routine with written commands, at certain times (like sunrise or sunset) or starting routines in certain locations, it is not currently possible to start routines using home screen shortcuts. Additionally, some actions, such as playing music, radio or podcasts, and sharing fitness and sleep stats, are not supported.
Gemini users to set up or edit their Google Assistant routines Settings > Geminiin Google Assistant Features > Routines They can follow your steps. This feature may not be instantly active for every user, so some users may not receive this update yet. A review by Android Authority in June found that this feature was hidden in lines of code, meaning this feature had been in development for a while.
Although it has now become possible to use Google Assistant routines with the Google Gemini update, there are still some limitations and missing features. It is expected that these deficiencies will be resolved with future updates. What do you think? Please don’t forget to share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.
