Fine and light laptops may seem attractive in terms of aesthetics and portability, but they have many disadvantages in practical use.

Is it a mistake to buy thin and light laptops?

First, smaller crates mean smaller batteries. Although manufacturers try to compensate for this with efficient chips and software optimization, the battery capacity is limited because the physical space is limited. Especially in intensive workloads, the battery time of these devices decreases rapidly.

In terms of performance, fine designs usually compromise on cooling systems, limiting the high power consumption of processors. Even the fan ultrabook models may experience a similar performance loss in intensive operations.

In addition, the keyboard and trackpad comfort on thin laptops usually remain secondary. In terms of ports, fine devices bring restrictions. Changes such as less USB input, the removal of HDMI or SD card slot forces users to use dongle and adapters. This creates an additional burden in terms of both cost and portability.

Finally, the repair of thin laptops is usually low. The soldering of RAM and storage units to the motherboard makes it impossible for users to upgrade their devices. Bonding the batteries also makes changing processes difficult. Moreover, some manufacturers limit third -party repairs by making repairs only in authorized services.
