Eddie Murphy has revealed that Shrek 5 is in production and the actors have been recording for the past few months. He also announced that a Donkey spin-off film would follow Shrek 5.
Shrek 5 Under Construction
“We started Shrek 5 four or five months ago. I recorded the first episode and we’re going to wrap it up this year,” Murphy said in an interview with Collider. Shrek 5 is expected to be released in 2025, after which the movie Donkey will be produced.
It has long been rumored that Shrek 5 was in development, but Murphy’s latest statements confirm that this project is indeed happening. Mike Myers and Cameron Diaz are also expected to return to their roles as Shrek and Fiona in this new movie.
