Good News of New Windows Features for Old PCs!

One of the most talked about developments in the technology world was the Copilot Plus PC brand, which uses ARM-based processors and stands out with its artificial intelligence capabilities. Microsoft offered its new Surface computers and ARM-based computers from other manufacturers to users under the name Copilot Plus PC.

Microsoft Recall Installed on Another Computer with ARM Processor

Windows Recall, one of the features introduced at this event, made some users say wow and caused great reactions from others. This feature takes screenshots of all your transactions, scans them with artificial intelligence, and allows you to call and return when you need.

Yes, it seems like a very nice feature, but the main reason for the reaction is; Security. Although Microsoft states that all screenshots are stored only on the computer, many users and institutions do not find it safe to take screenshots of the transactions made.

Security discussions aside, Microsoft has announced specific system requirements for this feature. But developers managed to run the Windows Recall feature on an old computer.

In the post made by Twitter user named Albacore, we see that the feature is running on a Samsung Galaxy Book Go 2 with an ARM-based Snapdragon 7c+ Gen 3 processor and 3.4 GB RAM.

Yes, this device was released in 2023 and it would actually be unfair to call it “old”. However, since it does not belong to the new series introduced by Microsoft, we deemed it appropriate to call it “old”.

This device is not Copilot+, and on top of that, it does not have an NPU and 16 GB of RAM, which Microsoft states as the minimum requirement. Despite all these shortcomings, it is stated that the feature works “surprisingly well”.
